Our Music Programme

Summary

30 minute music sessions

Classes of up to 20 children (8-15 is the ideal class size)

A percussion instrument for each child (varying each week)

A professional multi-instrumentalist to run each session (performing on several instruments throughout the term)

Sensory items, such as –teddies, parachute and giant scrunchy

Learning aids including; picture laminates, animals of varying colours, story books set to music

Live instrumental accompaniments and bespoke backing track accompaniments

Themed sessions when appropriate e.g., Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Black History Month, Chinese New Year etc

Class Format
Each class follows the same format each week in order to help build concentration and put the children at ease.
We do, however, vary the songs and activities every session in order to keep the children engaged. Here are elements of a typical class:
